The medallions are porcelain, and the base form is thrown on a wheel by Webb, after which she gives them to Lindenberger in a very wet state to apply the spiky areas. Webb makes them all a bit different, and Lindenberger then responds to the subtle differences in each form, deciding on placement and scale. There is a high fire metallic glaze used afterwards. The artists see them as a nucleus of sorts, and they are related to microscopic forms that we research.

The earth itself is a living being, with an energy force that connects to our own. Our energy balances itself through the harmonious relationship we have with the earth, our gardens and the outdoors. These unique sculptures represent the magical and spiritual connection with Nature.
Behind every piece is a careful building process of glazed and unglazed pieces starting with the signature top crown. Each element individually adding its part to the story. Each tied to the beauty, form and colors of Nature. The final smoke-firing process creates unpredictable, unique mysterious surfaces. Like Nature, the sculptures age in place with time and weather influencing the patina of the rich red earthenware clay.
